I made about 25 cloth napkins a couple years ago, and I have not bought paper napkins since! We love them!
Count me in! Those are cute. I love cloth napkins, but never thought of something reusable for paper towel usage. (Welcome home, too!)
After you posted the napkin tutorial, I made a BUNCH. For some reason, I didn't make any of these....but I will now!
I started making my own laundry detergent, and thanks to your tip -have been using vinegar too. It's not much, but it's baby steps in the GREEN direction. ;)
I actually started recycling about a month ago. There is a recycle center almost on my way home from work. The other day (Earth Day) I stopped on my way home and dropped off some plastic, paper and cardboard. I was surprised that it actually felt really good.
I guess I need to read the directions better! I recycle religiously by keeping a lawn & leaf bag in the kitchen/laundry closet. We are lucky to have a "throw everything in the same bin" recycling system, so I fill up a bag about every 2 weeks. I also use primarily vinegar and baking soda to clean with, and about 6 months ago started using vinegar in the laundry rinse cycle. Last year I started using the organic CSA for veggies & beef; this year I'm adding fruit as well.
