Who's bright idea was this?

Surely we could all use more time... I've pondered it myself recently and even have a post or two still in the writing stage that I haven't had time to finish.

What I want to know is: Who's bright idea was it to give us a whole extra 24 hours once every 4 years at the end of February?

Really? Wouldn't we have all appreciated an extra glowing green spring day or another day during the heat of summer to play in the sand or better yet a nice crisp fall day full of sunshine and beautiful leaves.

But what they gave us was an extra day during winter... to bundle up and shiver against the cold.

Well, I'm not too sure whose idea it was but my niece has been looking forward to this day for about 2 years. Tonight (yes a snowy night) was her wedding night. So she made good use of it even though it was in the winter.

OR - if it's gonna be a cold day- one more day to get ready for Christmas!
I like your summer day idea better!

I think that they should change the Nat'l voting day to Leap Day- Feb 29th.
They hold it on the 1st Tuesday in Nov on the leap year- when it's cold and some places have bad weather.

Leap day ain't good for nothing else- make it election day!
