I just put a border on and decided to make a simpler border than originally planned. I love the log cabin idea with a posie in it..... I have a lovely fabric in my stash already!!Vicki H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12106567995949078971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8560728302493710730.post-74477501534299085122009-02-10T08:09:00.000-05:002009-02-10T08:09:00.000-05:00I think the "Rules to Break in Quilting"...I think the "Rules to Break in Quilting" manual says that you don't have to use the standard Slab o'Border approach to finish off a quilt... LOL so you can do what you want. A pieced border sounds fun. A pattern is a guide - if you choose to follow the path laid out you will get to the exact same location... if you decide to take a different route along the way... you will still get to a quilt - it will look a bit different from the pattern. But it will be your quilt. I've made only one 4PSP by the pattern - I also used a two color combination (blue & yellow) with the same frame, sash and cornerstones but with a border print from that fabric line. Otherwise I've played with the settings... square in a square, log cabin, alternating squares... and now one with different size 4PSP blocks set on point... check out my Webshots album for more pictures of 4PSP's from friends, family, and students. I have to tell you my students have been all over the idea of different settings... Enjoy!!

http://community.webshots.com/user/howdyquiltsHowdyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17895833780094335534noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8560728302493710730.post-72682715254896530602009-02-10T07:23:00.000-05:002009-02-10T07:23:00.000-05:00I have a Question for you about 4psp, I don't have...I have a Question for you about 4psp, I don't have enough of the posie fabric to make a border. Do you think that it is important to tie the quilt together with a border of the original fabric as in the pattern? I may have to make a modified wide pieced border.... I am not sure but the quilt will be finished hopefully this weekend.Vicki H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12106567995949078971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8560728302493710730.post-1819834146660441272009-02-09T10:25:00.000-05:002009-02-09T10:25:00.000-05:00Hope you are better soon, it is going around.
